My Diabetes Story

I was diagnosed with diabetes nearly nine years ago during a visit to my family physician. Although there is no family history of diabetes, My family does have a strong genetic predisposition to heart disease.

I initially tried to manage my high sugar levels through exercise and lifestyle changes, but unfortunately, these efforts didn’t bring significant results.

Despite doing my best, I continued to face persistent health issues due to diabetes. One of the most troubling symptoms was a burning sensation in my eyes, Which often disrupted my sleep.

While I didn’t experience other major complications, I remained deeply concerned about my long-term health.

 How was FFD introduced and why did I choose to join it?

My quest for an effective solution led me to Freedom from Diabetes (FFD) through referrals and online programs. Though I considered joining in 2017, I initially pursued stem cell therapy, Which unfortunately did not work for me.

However, as my sugar levels continued to rise—reaching 170-180 mg/dL— I realized the urgent need for intervention and finally decided to join FFD.

Reversal Story

The FFD team did a detailed study of my case and designed a tailor-made plan.  As I began following it, I could see positive results. My sugars started stabilizing and My HbA1c dropped from 9 to around 7 which was remarkable progress.  

My 10-12 kg weight loss going from 78-83 kg to 68-70 kg has also been good.
One of the most significant shifts was in my exercise routine.

Previously inactive, I now follow a structured fitness regimen prescribed by FFD’s experts, incorporating daily exercise, Yoga, and a step count of nearly 600 steps throughout the day.

Despite these positive changes, My diabetes is still not fully under control. However, I remain determined to continue working on it while embracing a healthier lifestyle.

Beyond physical health, I faced intense emotional and psychological challenges, especially after the loss of my mother. This personal tragedy led to severe stress, Ultimately resulting in hospitalization within 15 days due to chest pains.

Given my family history of heart disease, I underwent further medical evaluations, Including a CT coronary scan that indicated a 60% blockage and a calcium score of 274. Eventually, An angiography revealed a slightly improved condition, Showing a 50% blockage.

Inner Transformation

To manage stress and emotional well-being, I attended inner transformation sessions with Kavita Modi. These sessions proved to be highly beneficial, Helping me identify and prioritize important aspects of life.

I learned to jot down key points at the end of each day, gaining clarity and reducing unnecessary worries.

This shift in mindset allowed me to adopt a more practical, Accepting approach to life—Understanding that while uncertainties exist, It is essential to focus on health and personal growth.

A self-proclaimed lover of sweets and chocolates, I struggled with emotional eating in the past. However, Through FFD’s guidance, I adopted mindful eating practices, Learning to enjoy small portions without overindulging.

I would like to say that the key to transformation lies in acceptance—accepting the need for daily exercise, dietary restrictions, and long-term commitment to health.
